We're collecting information about companies in the Health 2.0 space. And have been for some time. Unfortunately what that usually means is that really interesting companies email us, then email us again to ask why we didn't respond to the last email. The result is too many really great applications we'd love to hear about getting lost in our in-boxes.
So we're trying something else instead.
Tell us about your organization using this form, and you may end up being mentioned in dispatches, featured at a Health 2.0 Conference, or landing the VC meeting of your dreams. Well perhaps not all or in fact any of those ...but if you want us to pay attention to your company, this will get it into a systematic review process starring our crack staff. Otherwise you may face the peril of being lost in the email queue.
Editor's Note: While the emphasis in the sign up process in the linked form is very much on start ups and new ventures, we encourage you to get in touch even if you are working on a small project.

QuesGen provides data management tools for clinical research. Our vision is to use the Internet to allow investigators to collaborate remotely and also provide tools that research study participants can interact with directly. Since many diseases and health issues are closely related to lifestyle issues (diet, activity levels, sleep, substance abuse, addiction, etc.) a web-base research subject management will provide significant new insights.

We work in the newspaper industry in the U.S.
We are launching a startup that will provided third-party hosted social networks for local news and informaiton providers--mostly newspapers and TV....the first two sets we will be launching are scheduled to be "health & fitness" focused on excercise, weight loss and cardiac health...the second is for "Moms" focus on early years parenting (pregnancy to age 14 or so).
No funding yet, we will be looking for health care partners.
We hope to bring social networking to local newspapers and TV station sites across the US...
$1800 is a lot for an unfunded startup.

Greetings from the "Isle" of Ariafya LLC! Online Social Networking Mental Health Support Group for women of color and veterans.
Only 7% of women of African descent who suffer from depression receive any treatment... Existing "online safe care" for this population is absent.
When help is found, there is a lack of cultural competency & a dearth of supportive & encouraging communities for women of color. There is a huge stigma against people who suffer from mental health conditions. Along with the heinous stigmas are several myths to mental health care and often people painful suffer to destructive ends, such as suicide or recidivism.
A social networking website that encompasses mental health education, resources, advocacy, research & support group therapy, key relaxation techniques & is private, moderated, & promotes real-time 1-on-1 therapy with specialist providers is what the Isle of Ariafya LLC has created.
What is required is a more APIs and a better website to appropriately disseminate information.
In the future, I desire to have the site to have relevant webinars, videos, links to providers, latest on research/science & annual mental health "holiday" retreats.
I call it the "Isle" because it is a place of refuge, a sanctuary, an "Isle in a Torrential Ocean of Cyberspace". As the Web Health 2.0 expands, more social sites will be impacted where sufferers segregate themselves as from outsiders and inspect newcomers into their culture with a "rites of passage" with harassing word communications, such as the word "troll" and "mentally unstable". On a site like mine, anyone who suffers, but not is in crisis is supported regardless of their suffering. One site is free and the other site is private for security reasons, some participants have mental anguish concerning past childhood hurts and damages.
Please visit my site for curiosity's sake, if that. If you want further information, please contact me at your earliest convenience.
Namesté,
Dr. Gina L. Moore-Sanders

SimulConsult produces diagnostic decision support that enables medical professionals to get a "simultaneous consult". The user enters clinical and lab findings and the software suggests diagnoses and identifies other findings and lab tests useful in reaching a diagnosis. The database comes from information about diseases collected in a wiki-like fashion from a large peer-reviewed community of experts.

MyHealthCommunity is a start up that will be going live in April and show cased at HIMSS 09. This social media site will be available for hospitals to brand, leverage for communication to patients, physician to physician for consults, staff to staff, staff to physician and patient to patient. The ability to search in own community but drop walls to search in other hospital communities. This is taking this to the local level instead of many to one model now out there. This will connect all hospitals to each other giving the patient better access no matter where they are and permission based access to family members.

Hello
The National Center for Patient Interactive Research is a scientific and policy research center dedicated to fostering the role of patient generated data to improve health outcomes and business results.
In order to achieve the goals of Health 2.0 and real transparency health care IT solutions must integrate patient generated clinical data, not just the traditional "satisfaction" information.
We look forward to including the innovative companies at this conference in that movement.

Hi all,
We are two biomed engineering graduate students who just got to know about this conference. I am in Boston, while my partner’s from Singapore.
We are working on a system where up-to-date patient information from medical devices can be sent electronically, and accessed by their physicians who can update/advice of changes in dosage regimen if needed.
We have no funding yet, and are working on this idea in our spare time outside of lab. We are really interested in attending this conference but the price is pretty high, moreover one of us will be flying over from Singapore. Hope there’s a discount for poor students who are working on an unfunded startup!
Thank you very much- Jaimie & Jeffrey

We are in the process of starting up a company that provides services/web solutions that enable tele-medicine capabilities at small-medium size doctor/group practices. We have no funding yet and are paying expenses from our savings - as we recently got caught up in recent round of layoffs at our companies. We greatly appreciate any hardship discounts that can be made available to us!
