SmartLipo Triplex vs. Traditional Liposuction

With the technological advancements, people are opting for the surgical process when it comes to the elimination of stubborn fats. One of the most commonly used cosmetic surgery procedure is liposuction. Liposuction is commonly used on the buttocks, abdomen, thighs, chin, back, arms, calves, and neck. We have the traditional liposuction and the SmartLipo Triplex.

Patients are always confused when it comes to choosing the right method. Just like all surgical procedures, there are advantages and disadvantages for each one of them. In addition, there are possible complications and risks in both procedures. The most important thing that patients must always understand is that the operation outcome is highly dependent on the surgeon’s experience and skills.

Things You Should Know About Traditional Liposuction

Traditional liposuction is done under anesthesia and this increases the cost and risk of complications. There is also a high possibility of skin sagging and contour irregularities. But despite the various benefits linked to SmartLipo, it is important to understand that it’s just an improved version of the traditional liposuction.

By adding new technology, it simply means getting all the benefits of the traditional method but with less bruising, less bleeding, faster recovery time, and greater tightening of the skin. Most importantly, the chances of developing complications are greatly minimized.

Advantages of SmartLipo Triplex

First, this procedure is done while you are still awake, and with tumescent anesthesia as the general anesthesia substitute, the costs and risks are eliminated. There have been many misconceptions about SmartLipo from both doctors and patients. Most of these misconceptions arise from the reluctance to shift from the current practices and lack of system understanding.

SmartLipo Triplex has clearly demonstrated better results compared to traditional liposuction. This is due to the following advantages:

  • Tighter Skin. Fat is completely melted with the use of advanced Multiplex laser technology. In this laser technology, two laser energy wavelengths for advanced surgery skin tightening and of course superior fat sculpting. This technique is advantageous in the sense that, the surgeon has more time to concentrate on skin tightening once the fat has been reduced.
  • Minimal Recovery Time. The procedure only requires local anesthesia, this means that patients will be literally following the process, with no downtime. This is very rewarding compared to the traditional method.
  • Minimally Thanks to technology, this is one of the least invasive cosmetic procedures. The process is usually carried out with a fiber optic laser that’s practically tinier than a pen ball point. This means the entry point into the skin is very small and leaves an unnoticeable scar.

The blood vessels are closed down by the laser wavelength and the result is not only associated with less surgical trauma but also less swelling, bruising as well as reluctant recovery. There is very little or no discomfort – there is not point of taking pain medication after the surgery.

SmartLipo Triplex patients can actually return to their everyday activities after a day or two after the procedure.

  • Targets Unwanted Fat Pockets. This technology is able to multiple fatty deposits and areas of fat accumulation. Is such cases, however, general anesthesia may need to be administered to the patient. In such special cases, it might take a little bit longer for the patient to heal.

On the cons side, SmartLipo has been associated with burns. In this procedure, an exclusive and patented technology known as the “Thermaguide System” is used. The Thermaguide enables the surgeon to know the real time temperature of the tissues as the treatment continues. The surgeon is therefore alerted when the right temperature is reached to melt the fat. The chances of making a blunder are therefore lower as long as the surgeon is competent.
