Soladey Ionic Toothbrush: Eliminates The Need For Toothpaste

Soladey Ionic Toothbrush

In Japan and much of Europe, the Soladey toothbrush is nothing new. It was invented 20 years ago, and is currently used by over 16 million people.  Just recently, however, the ionic toothbrush has become available in the U.K., U.S. and Canada. What makes it special is the fact that it uses nothing but light and water to clean your teeth.Soladey Ionic Toothbrushes are new toothbrushes that do not require toothpaste or batteries, but still are even more effective than traditional toothbrushes. It may sound incredible, but Soladey works only with light and water to brush your teeth thoroughly.

Soladey was invented in Japan by Dr. Yoshinori Nakagawa. The name originates from the words ‘Solar’ and ‘Dental’. Dr Nakagawa knew that negative ions could be generated from titanium when this metal was exposed to light and water.  Soladey looks like an ordinary toothbrush, but closer examination reveals a titanium (metal) ionic conducting rod, which runs through the replaceable bristle head and into the handle.  This rod is the secret to Soladey. It’s made of a patented solar conducting material that allows light, by photoelectric activity, to be converted into a natural energy source which kills the harmful bacteria in your mouth.

Soladey ionic toothbrush is also effective in reducing smokers’ tobacco stains. There are many testimonials claiming the removal of difficult stains in a matter of weeks with consistent use of the Soladey ionic brush under a good light source.

How An Ionic Toothbrush Works

There is a light-activated titanium rod (semiconductor) inside the handle. When exposed to any light source (a fluorescent bathroom light, a plain light bulb, or sunlight), the photo-sensitive titanium rod inside Soladey converts light into negatively-charged ions (electrons). The rod releases these ions, which blend with saliva to attract positive (hydrogen) ions from the acid in the dental plaque on your teeth.

The acid is then neutralized and plaque is disintegrated – a scientific approach to a cleaner and healthier mouth! Toothpaste is not required as water (saliva) is the acting ingredient – oral hygiene now becomes not only natural, but also economical! For those who find it hard to give up toothpaste, use only very small amount!   The Soladey toothbrush also helps to prevent plaque, prevents gum bleeding and removes stains quickly and effectively.

The clinical trials of the Soladey toothbrushes showed that it works better than traditional toothbrushes in removing plaque. Those, who had bleeding gums, noticed good results in 10 to 15 days after the use of Soladey toothbrushes. And while the toothbrush may seem a bit pricey, it is less expensive in the long run, because you do not need any batteries, replacement parts or toothpaste for its use.

I had never heard of this toothbrush or the technology until recently.  I did, however, find the technology and toothbrush very interesting. If anyone has used this toothbrush, please let me know how it works for you in the comments section below. I want to make this clear, I am not recommending or endorsing this product at this time simply due to my lack on knowledge and on the peer reviewed research needed in order to recommend any product.
