A Vegan Don’t Get Adequate Protein Supply

Most vegans may feel disadvantaged or may be made to believe that they can’t get enough protein from their vegetarian diet. Also, they may also believe that plant protein is somewhat incomplete. Well, it’s common knowledge that animals are not the only source of proteins. Diets which include plants are not only lower in cholesterol, but they also have low fat and supply high fiber. On the contrary, animal protein is high in fat and cholesterol which causes heart and coronary disease and also it doesn’t provide fiber to vegans.

Dieticians believe that individuals who take 2000 calories in a day should take 50g protein. An alternative for vegans is to take ½ a cup of chickpeas which has about 6gms of protein. They can also take ½ a cup of tofu with about 20 grams and a vegetable burger which supplies 15 grams. All this combination adds up to 50 grams which means that a vegan can get protein without dabbling with bacon, beef, or pork. It is also common knowledge that a variety of vegan plant foods supplies adequate protein to meet the daily dietary needs of individuals. In fact, there is a whole lot more of delightful recipes from plants that can take care of protein needs of vegans who are concerned about shortcomings that arise from abstaining from meat and animal products.

Contrary to popular belief, vegans are the ones who believe that meat eaters have several rules regarding their diet.  In the US, those who eat meat products are favourably predisposed to eating beef than horse meat or chicken instead of cats. However, Indians in Asia abhor beef and in Korea, dog meat is a delicacy. Still, others abhor pigs because of religious traditions but others eat pork.
